Filter cartridge for septic tanks (household sewage treatment plants) with a size of 2000 to 3000 liters. Puzzolana are porous stones of volcanic origin, the surface of which favors the formation of a biofilm. Cleaning the pozzolana should be done with running water under pressure each time, the septic tank is emptied.
To maintain optimal operating parameters of the treatment plant, pozzolana should be replaced at least once every 5 years. Puzzolana is responsible for separating undissolved fractions and suspended solids in the wastewater from the infiltration bed. The use of puzzolana in the settling basket allows for a greater degree of sewage treatment after the septic tank, which measurably increases the life of the infiltration drainage system.
Puzzolana is packed in 25 kg bags (about 35 l) and should be poured into the basket located in the septic tank. Puzzolana grain size 20-50 mm.
